What if the fear of losing your job is quietly stealing the joy from the job you have right now? In today’s episode of Financially Confident Christian, I’m talking straight to those sleepless, worst-case-scenario nights, when you’re trying to be responsible and have a plan, but you don’t want to live in constant panic. We’ll walk through how to write down your worst-case scenario, build a simple job loss savings fund, and take proactive career steps like updating your résumé and LinkedIn profile. Most importantly, we’ll look at how to balance practical financial wisdom with a faith-filled reliance on God, so you can prepare wisely without letting fear dictate your every thought.

From there, we’ll dig into the crucial difference between what you can control and what you can only be concerned about. You can’t control the economy or your boss’s decisions, but you can control your spending, your skills, your resume, and your prayer life. We’ll talk about untangling your identity from your job title, investing in your family, church, and community, and even pre-deciding to remain generous, your first fruits response, no matter what season you’re in. I’ll share encouragement from Psalm 46:1–2, and we’ll pray together for peace, wisdom, and the confidence that comes from knowing your true Provider isn’t your employer, but God Himself.
