Speaker A

The show's changing its name, and if your stomach just dropped a little bit, I want you to stay with me because I'd rather you hear it all from me today than piece it together on Monday. So today I'm going to tell you exactly what's happening, what the new show looks like and what doesn't change at all.And I'm going to say it up front. I am excited about this one. Hey, friend, Ralph Estep Jr. Here. This is Financially Confident Christian.Well, it's not going to be that for long, but more about that as we go on today. This show is all about breaking the cycle of financial shame and doing it with confidence. And I'm going to tell you right from the beginning here.Today is going to be a little different. I'm not going to talk to you about a listener letter. There's not going to be a teaching segment today.I'm going to tell you what's happening to the show and why. I can't wait until Monday to show you what's going to happen. So let's get right into it. So here's the listener question that nobody wrote in today. This one's mine, and it's the one I'd be asking if I were sitting where you are, listening to me or watching me right now, Ralph, you change the name of the show. Is the show going away? Am I going to have to find it somewhere else? And what's happening to the faith part, Ralph, that's the reason I started listening. And those are all fair questions. And you deserve straight answers before Monday instead of after. So here are the straight answers to those questions. But I want to start with a big idea here. The name changes, the format's going to change, but almost nothing actually here that's changing is what you came for in the first place. So right now I'm going to tell you about what's happening, what that new hour looks like, because, yes, it's going to be an hour long. I'm going to tell you about why we're doing it, and I'm going to talk to you about what changes about the faith part and what stays.Well, let's get right into it. Here's what's actually happening.Beginning on Monday, August 31, this show that you're watching right now is going to become Becoming Financially Confident. That's a new name, Becoming Financially Confident. It's going to be a live show every weekday, Monday through Friday. It'll be at 11:30am Eastern, and it's going to be a full hour and here's the best part. I'm going to have a co host across the table from me and her name is Juliet. You'll be meeting her very soon and you're going to love her. It's going to be two voices having a real conversation, not just Ralph and a monologue. Every day we're going to have live chat and yes, we're going to take live calls so you can get on the air and talk through issues with us live. That's the piece I've wanted to do for years. I never wanted to answer a question about somebody without talking to them. But now you might be saying Ralph, wait a minute, I can't make 11:30am Eastern time. Don't worry about it because the full show is going to post as a podcast episode later that same day. Right where you get it.Now it's going to be the same feed, the same subscription. Nothing new for you to find and nothing you have to resubscribe to. So again, same feed, same me, new name. And now you can pick up the phone and talk to me while it's happening. Now let's talk about what that hour actually is going to look like. Every hour we're going to open up with today's headlines. That's those ones that hit you at the kitchen table. Not some trading floor, not some high end financial discussion. The things that are affecting you every single day. And we're going to dig into those. So you're not just hearing news, you're hearing what it means for your house. And I'm going to give you a key takeaway for every headline, something you can actually do today to improve your situation. And like I said, your answers, your questions are going to get answered live from the chat, from email and yes, like I said, from lots call ins. We're going to talk about side hustle ideas.I'm talking about real ways to bring in extra money and honest math on what you'd actually keep if you did it. And every week we're going to talk about scams so nobody in this audience gets taken advantage of. And then on Fridays, listen to this. We're going to share our wins of the week. That's the hour news you can use your questions answered out loud and more of the great advice and wisdom you've come to know from me for all this time before. And like I said, every headline is going to come with a takeaway. Something that you can do today, not someday. Now let's talk about why I'm doing this. It just happened. The Other day, actually, somebody writes in a scared email about a bill due in two weeks. And unfortunately, the way we do it now is my answer doesn't reach them for maybe a month or six weeks later. And that's always bothered me. It's always kept me up at night. But live means today's questions get answered today with you right in the room. And every weekday, instead of some polished episode dropped from a distance away, I want to show up regularly. I want to show up real. The way that friend does that way that friend comes and puts his arm around you.And Juliet, my co host, changes what this can be as well, because she's going to be somebody that's going to push back and ask what I didn't think of asking. We're going to be on more platforms, meaning more families are going to be able to ingest our content. We're going to reach more people. We're going to meet people who are drowning right now, who were never looking for a podcast about finance. And I'm excited about it because this is the version of the work I've been wanting to do forever.Because in the end, you shouldn't have to wait three weeks for an answer you need today. And starting on Monday, you won't have to wait any longer. Now, I mentioned I was going to talk to you about the changing of the faith parts.I want to talk to you about what's changing about the faith part, because part of this is something you've been waiting for me to get to. And I'm not going to talk around, and I'm not going to talk in circles. The weekday show is built as a money show that anyone can walk into. And what that means, practically, is the scripture reading and the closing prayer are not going to be a fixed segment of the weekday rundown anymore. And I know that's a real change. And I'm not going to try to soften it or pretend to you that you won't notice it, because you're going to notice it.And you deserve better from me than that. So let me tell you what is true every day. I'm still going to share my faith on that show. That's who I am underneath every answer I give. It's the core of who I am. And I'm not going to hide it to make anybody more comfortable. But what does change is it stops being a schedule block and starts being what it is in real life, something that comes out in the middle of a real conversation with real people about real money. And I gotta be honest, with you, I think that's a stronger testimony, not a weaker one. It's one thing to read a verse to a room that already agrees with me, and so many of you agree with me, that Christian faith, but it's another thing to sit across from somebody who doesn't share my beliefs at all, and at the end have them walk out saying, you know, there's something different about how that man treats people. And here's the part I really want you to write down the deep faith teaching isn't going anywhere. This is the best part. It has a home already. And I've been doing a show for a while now. It's called Truth Unveiled with Ralph. It comes out every single Sunday. And that's a show about scripture. It's a show about teaching the spiritual side. And it's not just about money. So if the faith moment is the reason you started listening to this show, you don't have to go anywhere.Sunday is where it lives now. And it goes even deeper than I was ever able to get to inside of a money episode. So here's the whole thing in just one sentence.Weekdays for your wallet, Sundays for your soul. And you don't have to give up either one of those because in the end, my faith isn't going quiet. It is going to be as loud as it ever been.It gets lived out in front of more people Monday through Friday, and it gets preached on every Sunday on Truth Unveiled with Ralph. Now let's talk about what isn't changing and where you find it. I'm going to be the same man I've been. It's the same voice you come to listen to.It's the same 30 years of doing this with real families just like you. You know, I'm all about no shame ever. That's why this show exists and it's why this next one does as well. And I'm still going to put my arm around anybody trying to break that cycle of financial shame, because that's my whole job. My job is to talk to you about real bills, real numbers, in plain English, no jargon, and let your questions still drive everything. And I'm really excited about being live every day at 11:30 Eastern. I'm going to be on YouTube, rumble, Facebook live. We're looking at other platforms as well.So if you've got a platform you'd like, send me a link and tell me how to do that. And if you'd rather just listen, that's cool, too. Nothing's going to change. The full show lands the Same feed that same day in the afternoon. And if you like that idea of a show based on faith, I want to encourage you. And we'll put a link in the show notes, go to Truth Unveil with Ralph this week, because my Sunday show will show up right in your feed. And every way you get this show today is still going to work tomorrow. So nothing that made you trust this show is going anywhere. There's just going to be more of it and more often. Now, I want to speak directly to the ones who found the show because of the word Christian in the title, because you see becoming financially confident. It doesn't say Christian in it. And you're the reason this show grew. You're the ones who sent in the questions you prayed for, the people that asked those questions. And some of you been here since almost nobody else was listening to me. And I appreciate that. And I'm not walking away from any of that.I'm just walking into a bigger room and I'm giving that room a room its own on Sundays. You know, the Apostle Paul said he became all things to all people so that by all possible means, he might save some. Paul didn't change who he was.He just changed how he showed up so more people could hear him. And that's exactly what this decision is. A testimony isn't a segment on a rundown. It's what people see in how you treat them. It's what people see when you treat them, when they're scared and when they're ashamed and they're living in that cycle of trying to make better decisions. Faith doesn't promise a change like this feels comfortable. This may feel very uncomfortable for you, and I get it.It feels a little bit uncomfortable for me if I'm being honest. And faith doesn't promise us that everyone comes along with this. I get that there are people who need this most often aren't looking for a church. The people who need the financial advice we give, they're looking for someone who won't make them feel stupid about bouncing a payment in their checking account. Because right now, too many of these financial gurus make people feel small. They make people feel stupid or they make people feel ashamed. That's not who I am. And it's never going to be how I handle the show. And if you want the words taught straight, undiluted, no money angle at all, again, that's truth unveiled. With Ralph, every Sunday, that table just got bigger. And there's still a chair with your name on it. So nothing about my faith is going quiet. It's the reason I do all of this. And my heart is going to be in every answer I give, whether or not it's on the line, on a rundown. So thank you for trusting me with your money and with your faith. Both of those are a big deal. And I don't take either one of those lightly. This isn't an ending. It's the same work more often with more people at the table. I'm opening up the front door and saying, all of you, come on in. And you don't have to do anything to come along. Just show up.Like I said, weekdays for your wallet, Sundays for your soul. And you're not losing either one. So, you know, I always like to talk about a win. So here's today's win. I want you to do it right now.I want you to put Monday at 11:30am Eastern on your calendar right now, before the show even ends. And I want to encourage you to go to our new website. That's becomingfinanciallyconfident.com again. That's becomingfinanciallyConfident.com and you can get set up on whatever platform you use. And while you're there, here's the other boy's part. We're going to put a link to Truth Unveiled with Ralph so you can subscribe to that show, too, because you're not losing a podcast. You're getting a standing appointment with somebody who's in your corner and is going to continue to be in your corner.Well, I found a great Bible verse today, and it's what Paul talked about. It's from First Corinthians, chapter 9, verse 22 from the NIV. It says, to the weak, I became weak to win the weak.I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means, I might save some. Paul didn't change what he believed. He changed how he showed up so more people could actually hear it. And that's what I'm doing. That's the whole reason for this change. I want to pray together right now. Heavenly Father, I just want to thank you for every person who's listened to this show. And I want to thank you for the trust they put in me with things that they hadn't told anyone else. And right now, Father, bless the listener who's been here from the beginning and just ease any worry that this news brings them.Lord, give me wisdom, Give me humility in this new format, guard my words when I'm live and unscripted. And in all things, Lord, let my life and my work be a clear testimony, especially to people who've never heard one.Bless that teaching on Sundays and let it feed the people who need your word more than they need a budget, Lord. And I ask right now that you would bless my co host and the work we're going to do together.Bring families who need this help most, Lord, especially those ones who never think to look for it. Keep the mission same in every room that you put me in, Lord. And I just ask this in the precious name of Jesus. Amen.Remember Monday, August 31, 11:30am Eastern. Becoming financially confident live. Every weekday we're going to talk about the headlines. We're going to dig into each one of those.I'm going to be a takeaway that you can act on today. We're going to answer your questions live from the chat, from email and yes, from live in calls. We're going to talk about side hustles, uncovering scams and we're going to share our wins of the week because that's what we are. We're a community. And you can watch it on YouTube, Rumble, Facebook Live, or you can listen right where you are, same as always. And don't forget about Sunday Truth unveiled with Ralph. That's the deep faith teaching all of it in its own place. No shame, real numbers, plain English and my arm around anybody trying to break this cycle. So again, you don't have to resubscribe.Same feed, new name live weekdays at 11:30 again go to becomingfinanciallyconfident.com again, that's becomingfinanciallyconfident.com thank you so much for joining me today. And I thank you for every question, thank you for every voicemail you sent in and for every morning you let me enter your kitchen or in your car as you drove to work. And here's the best part. I'm going to see you Monday at 11:30am every single day during the week. And I'll see you on Sunday. And as I always close the episode, stay financially savvy. May God continue to bless you and our show and you have a great day. It.
